WHAT WE DO
Environ Adapt offers two innovative applications that address different aspects of waste management. The first application, Adapt, provides a comprehensive digital solution for waste management companies to efficiently operate and manage their workforce. By leveraging the power of technology, Adapt streamlines operations, optimizes resource allocation, and enhances overall efficiency in waste management processes.
The second application, Dawar, goes beyond traditional waste management systems by promoting environmental consciousness and fostering collaboration among different stakeholders. Dawar integrates the informal sector, which plays a crucial role in waste management, along with residents of the community.
Through Dawar, Environ Adapt aims to raise awareness about the importance of responsible waste disposal, while also providing digital solutions for extended producer responsibility (EPR). This includes digitally tracing post-consumer waste and ensuring its proper recycling, thus contributing to a circular economy.
Environ Adapt’s Dawar solution empowers clients to take significant steps towards achieving their extended producer responsibility (EPR) mandates and complying with ethical sourcing practices. Our History
Dawar made its first appearance to the public in 2018 when we were testing the beta version and trying out the share button on the app to see if it will work. A few moments later the before and after photo shared on Facebook went viral leading to 20k downloads in two weeks and the app reaching number 1 in ranking in the productivity app category.
The app was based on a simple idea of engaging the residents of Cairo in reporting street waste through snapping a photo of it. The app would automatically send the photo (report) to the assigned collection company and they would go and clean it up. After that, the waste collector who cleaned up the street waste would send an after photo on the app of the clean location to the person who had reported it. This simple solution, attracted much attention and still does till this very moment where a leading newspaper in Japan wrote about it!
