It all started when we launched Dawar App in 2018 in Egypt where residents could take photos of street waste via the app and receive an after photo of the same place cleaned up! We got our first 20k downloads in a few weeks with over 3000 reports of street waste that were all cleaned up within 48 hours! We simply connected residents with waste collectors and provided the app that enabled simple communication via a before and after photo! Since then, Dawar Community has been growing to include not only waste collectors, recyclers, eco- enthusiasts, sustainability buffs, eco- friendly businesses and conscious consumers!
